President and Chief Executive Officer, Dennis Meekins

Mr. Meekins is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in New York with over 30 years’ experience in the accounting, financial reporting and securities industries.  He is currently the Controller for the Salvation Army Eastern Territory of the USA, a major division of a well-known international not for profit organization.  He is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of approximately $3.2 billion in assets and $1.0 billion of annual operating expenditures and supervises a staff of 30.From 2009 until 2010, Mr. Meekins was CFO of Promethean Corporation, a holding company in the home health and beauty products industry that recently sold its primary operating subsidiary and other assets to an international direct marketing company.   From 2001 until 2009, he was the Vice President of Listing Qualifications at the American Stock Exchange, where he was responsible for all supervisory aspects of the Exchange’s initial and continued listing qualifications department.  This included the national exchange listing of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) for domestic and foreign companies that totaled in excess of $16 billion since 2005.  

Before joining the Exchange in 2001, Mr. Meekins spent 15 years at the Diocese of Rockville Centre, a major not-for-profit entity with diverse programs and complex financial reporting entities.  His last position was as the Director of Finance/Controller where he was responsible for all aspects of accounting, financial reporting and budgetary controls.  Prior to the Diocese, Mr. Meekins was as an auditor for eight years at McGladrey & Pullen, a national public accounting firm.
 
Mr. Meekins will also be the CFO for the company, although financial management tasks will likely be spread throughout the executive team.

Senior Vice President of Corporate and Business Development, Richard Strautman

Mr. Strautman is an experienced, multi-disciplined executive and management consultant, whose experience includes over 20 years of executive experience with high technology manufacturing and software development companies.  His management responsibilities include General Management, Marketing, Sales, Financial, Technology and Manufacturing disciplines.  His experiences include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures with such companies as Radio Shack and EDS, contract negotiation, and new channel development.

Since 1996 Mr. Strautman has been providing management consulting and technology implementation services to companies around the world.  During this period, Mr. Strautman was a Partner/Managing Director of Consulting Services with KMPG. Currently he owns Picus Enterprises, a management consulting firm that specializes in providing a broad range of management and marketing consulting services to start-up companies and small businesses.

Senior Vice President of Medical Advisors, John Giugliano B.S., D.C.

Dr. Giugliano completed his premed studies receiving his Bachelors’ degree in Science. He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic as well as a Certification in Clinical Orthopedics. He is both Nationally Board Certified as well as Board certified in the State of New York. Dr. Giugliano is one of the first chiropractors on Long Island to be certified in Manipulation under Anesthesia (MUA). He is part of the medical staff in the Orthopedic Surgery Department of North Shore Hospital in Glen Cove, which is considered the “jewel” of the North Shore/Long Island Jewish Systems orthopedic program. In addition, he is a member of the medical staff at the Melville Surgical Center (formally the Long Island Surgicenter), as well as a member of the North American Spine Society and the National Academy of MUA Physicians. He possesses a tremendous amount of experience within the health industry, specifically in the fields of sports injury and physical medicine. Dr Giugliano understands and approves of the many advantages this technology brings to the table. He will be an asset in gathering and formulating the latest in clinical data to insure the VPT users will always have the most current medical protocols. These protocols will be integrated into the VPT system to ensure safe and optimal results.                 

Director of Operations, Chester J. Strzepek

Mr. Strzepek received his BA Cum Laude in Mathematics from Stonehill College in Massachusetts, his MS Cum Laude from Adelphi University, and his PD in Educational Administration Summa Cum Laude from LIU-CW Post. As Director of Curriculum and Testing for the Catholic Schools on Long Island, he managed Mathematics, Science, Health and Physical Education curricula. In 1985, Mr. Strzepek was Chairman of the Interdiocesan Physical Education Committee who authored a ground-breaking physical education program which was used by all of the Catholic elementary schools in New York State. He furthered his career as Director of the Building Office for the Diocese of Rockville Centre.  He served in this capacity for nine years where he managed over $203 million of new construction.  This work included new church construction, school construction and renovation.  He was also the Operations Manager for the Central Office Building of the Diocese of Rockville Centre. With his experience in Physical Education along with coaching and training athletes, as well as his operational expertise, Chet is imminently qualified to tackle the operational requirements for this organization.

Patent Attorney, St. Onge Steward Johnston and Reenes

Mr. Basile’s practice focuses primarily on patent litigation, prosecution and counseling. He has an extensive patent litigation practice with an emphasis on counseling and representing generic drug companies in Hatch-Waxman Paragraph IV proceedings. He has successfully represented generic drug companies at both the trial and appellate levels and has been involved in preparing numerous patent opinions, and Paragraph IV notice letters. He has also litigated patent cases in a variety of other technical fields in courts throughout the United States. The technical fields include medical imaging devices, radiation based paper making sensors, computer cooling fans, heavy vehicle braking systems, bicycle suspension systems, and fiber optic amplifiers and multiplexers. Mr. Basile lectures frequently on attorney-client privilege in patent cases, patent opinion letters, and Paragraph IV notice letters. During law school Mr. Basile was a judicial extern to both Judge Pauline Newman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and Judge John A. Nordberg of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He serves on the Board of Governors and is a past President of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association.


Fitness Expert and Consultant, Ralph J. Del Giorno

With over 18 years’ experience in the fitness industry and certifications from ACE (American Council on Exercise), NFPT (National Federation of Professional Trainers) and AFAA (American Fitness and Aerobics) Ralph Del Giorno is an extremely qualified fitness expert. Ralph's managerial skills coupled with his leadership and initiative qualities have proven to be a great asset in various former employment situations. He was responsible for marketing and selling gym membership & personal training packages, training staff and leading his clients through major physical transformations. His interest and knowledge in technology, his passion and skill in fitness training and his innate creativity have been important to the development of VPT Technologies.

Based in Long Island, Ralph has worked as a director for large telecom companies such as Last Mile Connections, KeySpan and World-Link Telecom. Ralph has also been a trainer and fitness director and trainer for Better Bodies NYC, American Fitness NYC, Gold's Gym Bellmore and Synergy Merrick. His large and loyal client following is further testimony to his professional expertise and work ethic. Senior Developer, Yanni Papadimitriou

Mr. Papadimitriou is a certified project manager with multi-year experience on technical project and process management across various industries including telecommunications, automotive and construction. His Master's degree from Stanford University and certification from Project Management Institute, together with his enthusiasm for technology, deliver high-quality solutions and processes focused on what the end users really need. Since 2010, he is a managing partner of Proptimality, an IT company which provides customized software solutions and technical project and process management services. Mr Papadimitriou is looking forward to applying his expertise to bring all required technologies together and integrate them into a product that will transform the fitness industry.


Fitness Expert and Consultant, Robert M. Otto, Ph.D. FACSM

As an exercise physiologist and Director of the Human Performance Laboratory at Adelphi University for 30 years, Dr. Otto is an expert in exercise science. He was certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as an Exercise Specialist, Health/Fitness Director, and is a registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist.  In addition to conducting over 250 research projects, in 2006 he was associate editor and author of the gold standard in the fitness industry, ACSM’s Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription’s 7th edition. Currently, as a beta site for research and development of fitness products, Dr. Otto has contributed to the assessment and refinement of more than a dozen fitness products including the Treadclimber, Computrainer, the Fitness Flyer, and Physique 57.
