I began training with RJ a little more than a year ago.  I was very overweight, tired  and depressed.  I was motivated to make a change in my life because I was so unhappy.  After working with RJ for a few times I knew that this was something that I could do and wanted very badly. I set myself up with a training regimen working with RJ twice a week and by myself 3-4 times. A week.  RJ is a great personal trainer.  I was out of shape and found everything we did to be a challenge.  I have watched RJ work with other clients. What I noticed was the same attitude he presents with all of his clients. He is able to plan a regimen specific to each client moving them through a workout which keeps evolving while still maintaining interest.

Exercise was not priority or an activity I would normally choose, but I found myself returning to the gym.  I’ve always looked forward to our training sessions.  RJ is fun to work out with.  He is personable, patient and gives his full attention to his client.  It is apparent that he is intent on his client’s success and cares very deeply about their mental attitude as well as their physical requirements during a session.  RJ is able to motivate me to complete a set and work through the burn when all I want to do is quit. It is because of this that when I work out on my own that I can do the same thing.

RJ was instrumental in my choice of foods to enhance my training and weight loss.  By eating real foods (protein, fruits and vegetables) I have lost 43 lbs. What is even more important than that is I have gone from a size 20 to a size 10. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have heard about TruScan through RJ and would have hoped that such a tool was available from the start of my training.  I would then know immediately with each scan the progress that I have achieved.

RJ has helped me achieve my goals to improve my health, lose weight and change my lifestyle. I feel fantastic and can’t thank him enough.

I have always struggled with weight in the past and in 2009 I lost 52 pounds, only to put 20 back on in the winter. I found Ralph through a friend and he has taught me things that I had never known not just about exercise but he really explained why our body needs certain foods and at what different times of day and took the time to explain it to me in ways that it wasn't in the past from a previous trainer. I had worked out in the past but it really is a completely different workout with Ralph on an escalated scale. I feel like I'm starting all over again and am so happy to have found Ralph as a trainer.

I am truly pleased with my sessions. I feel like if I'm at a breaking point of giving up or being disgusted with my winter weight gain, Ralph pushes me to strive to be my best and I need that in a trainer. Leaving a session with Ralph just makes me want to eat healthier and strive to be a better person!

Sessions with Ralph have shown me that I can do more than I thought I could.  I now push the limits of my physicality and I see that I can actually DO IT!!! I would not change a thing and I would like to add that Ralph is the most professional, focused, caring and skilled trainer I have ever had the pleasure to work with.  I look forward to every session with him and I feel very fortunate to have Ralph comprehensively caring for my physical progress and well-being.

I probably would NOT recommend Ralph as a trainer. He is an excellent trainer and working with him would be a benefit to anyone regardless of his/her level of proficiency. However, he is a very popular trainer and frequently in demand.  It is, at times, already difficult to get a desired appointment time with him. Therefore if I recommended Ralph at all it would only be to people I really, really like.

It would be really perfect if Ralph could actually do my workout while I still got the benefits!  However, I don’t think even he could/would do that.

Ralph’s knowledge of physical fitness is extraordinary and beats out that of the coaches at my school as well as anyone I know. He executes his ability fluently and phenomenally and teaches me the flaws in the technique I was using. Ralph is a great motivater and really inspires me as a client. He has helped me get in better shape, eat right and also helps me boost my self confidence RJ has shown me that I can achieve anything as long as I put my mind to it. Ralph is the best trainer I’ve ever had and I would recommend him to anyone looking to lose some pounds and get in shape.

I never use to like going to the gym and really was not taking care of my body, since I started training with Ralph, I actually enjoy going to the gym, I started watching what I am eating and realize how important exercise is in everyday life.  I really have to thank Ralph for getting me motivated enough to want to come to the gym, b/c I was one of those people that just use to join the gym and never go, and now I am at the gym at least 4 days a week and I am very happy.  If you did not have Ralph as your trainer I probably would have canceled my gym membership awhile ago. I would most definitely recommend Ralph and I’m very happy with my sessions and trust him 100% that he knows what he is doing and would not change anything about him.

Working out with Ralph is really hard.  My body hurts for a couple of days after each time we train.  But I have more muscle, strength and stamina than I ever did before.  Ralph really knows about workouts, muscle building and eating right.  He makes working out enjoyable even though it’s hard.  

Ralph really cares about his clients’ health and well-being. I feel like he’s more like a protective big brother than just a trainer. He makes you want to work harder and get better.  I think it will be fun to use the Truscan scanner.   I’ll have a virtual Ralph to help me find workouts to do each day depending on which muscle group I want to concentrate on and I’d be able to keep track of my progress.

I have been training with Ralph twice a week for a little over a year.  Before I started training, I didn’t know what a good trainer was.  However, as I observed some of the other trainers at the gym, the difference with Ralph was almost striking. Unlike some trainers, Ralph always has his attention on me while we work out. He keeps me working way beyond the point that I would push myself.  He offers encouragement and tips on how to improve.  He might move my elbow a fraction of an inch during a workout and the whole exercise gets better. He changes up the workouts keeping them interesting while helping to strengthen my body.
 
Ralph is an exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled professional.  When I work out with him I feel secure knowing that he won’t let me get hurt.  Perhaps my favorite thing about working with Ralph is that while he takes training very seriously, and is all about doing things correctly and safely, he still manages to have a good sense of humor.  Working out with Ralph is extremely difficult but never boring.  When we’re done, my body is pretty “done” too; but I am now stronger than I have ever been. And to my amazement, I actually have muscles!!

I rely on Ralph for nutritional counseling almost as much as physical training.  He has encouraged me to change my way of eating. Ralph has repeatedly explained to me that because muscle weighs more than fat and I have acquired muscles since working out; I have gained weight according to the scale but not in reality. I appreciate that he says it very calmly – using the same tone of voice generally reserved for trying to talk a lunatic down from the ledge of a high building. However, even with all of Ralph’s patient explanations, it is still a very difficult concept for someone like me to wrap my head around.  I admit that when it comes to my weight I am a little neurotic.   I have weighed myself every day of my life since I was about 10 years old. The number on the scale has always set the tone of the day for me and dictated what I would eat.  I’ve always counted on that number to objectively tell me how I was doing.  That worked okay before I started training and barely had any muscle tone.  Then it got very confusing and upsetting.  I am very excited that the Truscan scanner will enable me to have an objective and even more reliable method of tracking the changes in my body.
